Terms & Conditions

Last updated: July 13, 2026

1. Who we are

Self Help For Beginners is operated by Angelika Ullsperger ("we", "us", "our"). By purchasing, downloading or otherwise using our workbooks and website (the "Service"), you ("you") agree to these Terms & Conditions.

2. Our products

We sell digital workbooks in PDF format — currently a Goal Setting Workbook and a Rebuilding Selfworth & Identity workbook. The workbooks are educational self-help materials. They are not therapy, medical advice, or a substitute for care from a qualified professional.

3. Order process and Merchant of Record

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms.

4. Licence to use the workbooks

When you buy a workbook we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to download, print and use it for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not resell, redistribute, republish, or share the file publicly, and you may not remove any copyright or attribution notices.

5. Intellectual property

All content in the workbooks and on this website — including text, exercises, illustrations, layout, and the "Self Help For Beginners" name and branding — is owned by Angelika Ullsperger and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service unlawfully or in breach of these terms;
  • use it to defraud, spam, harass or harm others;
  • infringe anyone's intellectual property rights;
  • attempt to interfere with the Service's security, probe or scrape it, upload malware, or circumvent any technical limits.

7. No professional advice

The workbooks are for general educational and personal-development purposes only. They are not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice. If you're struggling, please reach out to a qualified professional. Your use of the workbooks is your responsibility.

8. Service availability

We provide the Service on an "as is" and "as available" basis and do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you materially breach these terms, if there is a security or fraud risk, or if required by law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (e.g. intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability) will do so.

10. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages, including loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the workbooks or the Service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the latest revision. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated terms.

12. Contact
